PASTA WITH MINCED MEAT SAUCE
1 large onion, finely chopped
- 3 cups grated kefalotiri (or other hard salty cheese)
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1 stick cinnamon
- 500 g minced beef
- 1 tbsp tomato puree
- 4 tbsp butter
- 1 jar tomato sauce
- 1 pack Νο. 6 pasta or a pasta of your choice
- salt and pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, finely sliced
- 1/2 cup wine
- 1/2 bunch parsley

- -In a saucepan, bring some water to the boil
- As soon as the water comes to the boil, put the pasta in the water
- Cook according to the instructions on the packet
- When it is cooked, drain the pasta
- Melt the butter in the saucepan together with a little salt
- Toss the pasta in the butter, remove it from the heat and cover it
- Heat the oil in a saucepan and brown the onion
- Add the minced beef, breaking it up with a fork, and cook until brown
- Add the garlic and the cinnamon stick.
- Season to taste.
- Add the wine
- Add the parsley
- Stir in the tomato sauce and the puree
- Simmer until the liquid has evaporated to leave a sauce
- Remove the cinnamon stick
- Plate the pasta
- Spoon the sauce over the pasta
- Sprinkle with cheese
